Odd Christmas Traditions 319 days ago Quote('4696122','4696122','5','4386')">Report spamBut the award for TAG Heuer Watches the strangest Christmas tradition goes to.... Italy, Portugal and Spain! You and I know the Nativity Story, but what about the extra character according to the Portuguese, Spanish and Italians? Here comes the Caganer. Accompanying Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus and the Shepherds, is the Caganer which is a tiny model of a man, which is often tucked away in the corner of model nativity scenes. Why would you make such an important character so difficult to see? Originating from Catalonia, the Caganer figure depicts a man in the act of (how can I say this politely) taking a poop. Odd as it may be, but there are records going back only to the 17th century and no records to the origins of this tradition. What relevance to Christmas a man squatting and taking a poo remains unanswered However maybe God is trying to use the Caganer as a means to show himself and call upon us whenever he feels necessary and that he shows we are all equal despite race, gender or age. Needless to say the youngest in these countries have made quite a game of it!When Christmas arrives it's well known that we have to keep the children busy and Tonino Lamborghini watches we search for ways to entertain them. It would appear that this unusual Christmas tradition is a lot closer to us than we could have ever imagined! I kid you not, enter the pooing Santa! Would you believe me if I said this is the Caganer brought up to todays vision of the past! As Santa squats, tap him on the back and sweeties pop out of his bottom. Santa is dressed in is usual costume and to get things started 15 grams of candy are included. All you need to do is fill him up with sweets and tap him on the back to get your reward! Even the pooing Santa can suffer from bowel movement problems just like the rest of us so a little shake will remove those stubborn sweets that just don't want to come out! Of course not everyones idea of a traditional Chronoswiss watches Christmas includes a pickle or a pooing Caganer. In the UK we tend to stick with more traditional things like Christmas crackers which have been around since the 17th century. Today they have evolved somewhat from the Chopard watches cheap crackers we have been used to for many years into more of the luxury Christmas crackers which you can find today.
